Tight Security in Capital for Independence Day Celebration

IndiaNew Delhi, Friday, August 12 – Each countryman is enthusiastic to celebrate Independence Day on Monday, August 15. Since most of the school, colleges and work places are to be closed for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, cultural programs are being hosted today. Kids participating in various cultural events were asked to dress in ethnic wear.

Security has been tightened in the national capital to ensure safety of the people. All arrangements are well under way. The key reason behind beefing up the security in Delhi and NCR ahead of the Independence Day is to keep an eye on the entire movements and nullify any probability of any sort of disturbance.

Eyes can’t be shut to the fact that traffic restrictions at more than a few places may cause traffic jams, which may be troublesome if rain occurs towards the end of the day. Traffic diversions on I-Day are likely that may bother commuters to a certain extent. Demand for Indian flags, tricolor wrist bands and bangles etc. has been increased. Excitement to pay money for personalized stuffs is making the buyers throng shopping zones.

People were seen purchasing white color salwar suit and kurta payjama to team up the same with saffron, green and blue. In view of the fact that kite flying is one of the common traditions on Independence Day, shopkeepers are making sure to have a good stock of colourful kites. Various malls in the city are letting visitors to participate in different exciting competitions and go back home with prizes. To cut a long story short, security personnel will be seen across the state. For safety reasons, parking at metro stations will not be allowed on August 14 and August 15.
